Your horse will have good grazing at our horse B&B in a secure paddock with electric fencing, shade and water. The paddock your horse will use will have no other animals in it during your stay. Or you might prefer a stable for your horse at the end of a hard days riding. The stable yard is securely gated. In addition we supply a grooming kit for your horse to save you carting your own with you, outside washing facilities, drying facilities, (in case the Welsh weather does it’s worst), and ample storage for tack. We will purchase fodder and hard food for your horse to your specification if you want. We have ample, secure parking facilities for horse boxes or trailers, they can remain parked here if you go on the Brecon Beacons and Radnor Loop. For riders using our horse B&B we can offer double or twin room accommodation with bath or shower room. We only take one booking at a time, so your party will have exclusive use of all facilities. We have invested in memory foam mattresses, which have proved very comfortable. If the weather is good we have a terrace overlooking the garden, or a sheltered sitting area by the stream where you can relax. Our home is your home.
Food We love food and try to make eating with us a memorable part of your stay. Breakfast is a feast with Lucienne’s home made preserves, (the lemon curd is to die for). The locally cured bacon is also something special. If you would like to try something totally different tuck into a ‘spekpannekoek met stroop’, a Dutch speciality and a very firm favourite. We can also do a ‘Welsh Breakfast’ as described on the Brecon Beacons Tourism web site. We also offer evening meals to save you a trip out after a tiring day’s riding. An evening meal eaten with us is not a second best option, look at the visitor’s comments. Much of what we serve is home grown, meat comes from our tenant farmer (real locally produced meat) and the eggs are from our own hens who roam the fields. Lucienne cooks a wide variety of delicious dishes, some traditional, some Dutch treats including Indonesian. Fusion cooking is the latest food fad, but we have been eating like this for years. For pudding lovers we can guarantee that in spite of lots of riding, you will go home with a few extra pounds!
