Brecon Beacons and Radnor Loop. We can arrange hire of horses.

We have explored and fine tuned a 4 day ride, The Brecon Beacons and Radnor Loop. We have linked up with friends near Talgarth or Hay-on-Wye, in the Radnorshire hills and on the edge of the Eppynt who offer similar facilities for bed and breakfast for horse and rider for overnight accommodation along the loop. We provide a luggage transfer between the B&Bs if required. If you would like we can ride with you for the day as a guide to save you doing the navigating.

See The Brecon Beacons and Radnor Loop page and Related links.

An article about the loop was published in Tracks, the access magazine from the British Horse Society. Also have a look at British Horse magazine, Sept/Oct 2008 page 5.

Ride Bridleways using our Petal Rides

For riders, who wish the experience of riding the beautiful Brecon Beacons in Mid Wales, staying at The Wern Horse and Rider B&B for their riding holiday, we provide a series of suggested, mapped and surveyed petal rides using our B&B as a base to return to each night. The trail rides are of varying lengths so should suit all; from the determined trail rider to those who enjoy a weekend hack!

The most popular trail takes you all the way around Llangorse Lake, giving the opportunity for good gallops. Have a midday picnic and enjoy the stunning views, while your horse nibbles the grass.

We have checked the bridleways en route to ensure they can be ridden, and will continue to do this on a regular basis. We will provide marked up maps and route descriptions. In fact, we will do everything possible to make your horse holiday a success!
